Puguntha Veedu is a 1972 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Pattu in his debut and written by A. S. Prakasam.
The film features Ravichandran, Savitri, and Lakshmi in its lead roles, alongside A. V. M. Rajan and Chandrakala.
Notably, Sivakumar was initially cast but later replaced by Ravichandran for a role originally intended for him; the film also involves an incident where producer Subramaniam slapped Rajan during filming, leading to Ganesan retaliating against Subramaniam.
The soundtrack of Puguntha Veedu is composed by the renowned duo Shankar–Ganesh.
Released on 13 April 1972, it was a significant success, running for 100 days in theatres.
Puguntha Veedu has been remade into films in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
