Pudhiya Mugam is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by Suresh Chandra Menon.
The film stars Revathi, Menon, and Vineeth, with music composed by A. R. Rahman.
The movie is an adaptation of the television miniseries Twist of Fate, which tells the story of an assassin who undergoes plastic surgery and becomes a member of the army, and a hero for them while revisiting his past.
Raja, played by Menon, witnesses a murder in Sri Lanka that results in the death of his fiancée. He avenges her death by killing those responsible, becoming an assassin on the run from the police. After extensive plastic surgery, he leaves for Chennai, India to start a new life with a new face and identity.
The film was released on May 28, 1993, and was loosely remade in Hindi as Vishwavidhaata (1997).
