Synopsis
Pudhalvan is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Selva Vinayagam.
The film stars Ramki and Pragathi, with Vijayakumar, Jayanthi, newcomer Raghavi, Mohan Natarajan, S. N. Vasanth, and Raja Raveendar playing supporting roles.
It was released on 26 December 1997 and is a remake of the Telugu film Doshi Nirdoshi (1990).
The plot follows Siva (Ramki), an honest police inspector brought up by judge Sathyamoorthy (Vijayakumar) after his mother's death. Siva falls in love with college student Priya (Pragathi) and marries her, while clashing with influential smuggler Mudaliar (Mohan Natarajan).
