Poomani

Poomani is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Kalanjiyam in his debut. The film stars Murali, Devayani, Prakash Raj, and Reshma.

The story revolves around Poomani, who marries Vijaya on her wedding day after Thangamani flees. However, as time passes, Vijaya changes her feelings towards Poomani.

The film features a cast of Murali as Poomani, Devayani as Vijaya, Prakash Raj as Thangamani, and Reshma as Pottu, among others. Ilaiyaraaja composed the music for the movie, which was released on 6 December 1996.

Kalanjiyam won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Story Writer, while Jaguar Thangam won the award for Best Stunt Master.
