Synopsis
Ponmaanai Thedi is a 1998 Indian Tamil language film directed by Paari.
The film stars Saravanan and Suvarna Mathew, with Vinu Chakravarthy, R. Sundarrajan, Delhi Ganesh, Vadivelu, Vennira Aadai Moorthy, and Sathyapriya playing supporting roles.
Released on 6 November 1998, the film follows the story of Sundaram (Saravanan), a young wastrel who falls in love with Priya (Suvarna Mathew), a well-educated and modern girl from Mumbai.
Ayyappan (Vinu Chakravarthy), Sundaram's father, decides to solemnise their marriage despite Priya's parents' plans for her to marry another man.
