Synopsis
Pokkisham is a 2009 Indian Tamil language film directed by Cheran and starring himself, Padmapriya, and Aryan Rajesh.
The film tells the story of Lenin, a marine engineer from Calcutta who befriends a Nagore girl named Nadira in 1970. Their friendship blossoms into love, but Lenin's life is disrupted when Nadira and her family leave after selling their home. Years later, Lenin's son Mahesh discovers his father's hidden life through his diary and sets out to find Nadira.
Mahesh eventually tracks down Nadira in Malaysia, where she has moved after marriage. He delivers a letter from his father to her, which reveals the pain and longing that Lenin had for Nadira over the years. The film follows Mahesh's journey as he reconnects with Nadira and learns about her life since leaving Nagore.
The movie also explores the relationship between Mahesh and his mother, who is revealed to have punished her father by denying him marriage after discovering his secret love for Nadira.
