Pasakiligal is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by M. Karunanidhi.
The film stars Prabhu, Murali, Navya Nair, and Vineeth in leading roles, alongside supporting performances from Roja, Vadivelu, Nassar, Kalabhavan Mani, Malavika, and Manorama.
The story revolves around Sethupathy (Prabhu) and his young brother Sevathayya (Murali), who are fond of their only sister Maragadham (Navya Nair). However, Maragadham falls for Nallarasu (Vineeth), the brother of Vairaghya Bhoopathy (Nassar), the chief of a neighboring village. A schemer named Alakalan (Kalabhavan Mani) tries to marry Maragadham but is humiliated by both brothers, leading to an enmity between the two families.
The film was fully written by M. Karunanidhi, marking his comeback as a director-cum-politician. The plot explores the rivalry between two families and the consequences of Alakalan's schemes on their relationships.
