Synopsis
Neethaane En Ponvasantham is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
The film stars Jiiva and Samantha, with Nani replacing Jiiva in the Telugu version Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu. The story follows childhood friends Varun and Nithya, who repeatedly fall in love and break up over silly issues until they meet again at 25.
The movie's background score and soundtrack were composed by Ilaiyaraaja, which became a chartbuster and sold 8.5 million units on its release. The cinematography was handled by M. S. Prabhu and Om Prakash.
The film was released on 14 December 2012, receiving positive to mixed reviews from critics. It was co-written, co-produced, and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, with Reshma Ghatala writing the story and producing the film alongside Elred Kumar, Venkat Somasundaram, and Menon.
