Nattamai is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar.
The film stars Sarathkumar, Khushbu, and Meena, and was released on November 2, 1994, during Diwali.
The story revolves around Shanmugam (Sarathkumar), the village head fondly called Nattamai in his village in Coimbatore region, who serves as both the Chair of the Village Administration and the unofficial judge in village meetings.
Shanmugam's brother is married to an arrogant girl while there are others who are continuously plotting against this family.
The film completed a 175-day run at the box office and is considered one of the most popular Tamil films of the 1990s, earning Sarathkumar both the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Tamil for his performance in the film.
