Nam Naadu is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language political action film directed by Suresh Kumar.
The film stars Sarath Kumar and Karthika Mathew, and tells the story of Aalavandhar, a corrupt politician who holds the post as Education minister and wants to become the chief minister. He is supported by his sons-in-law, Sathya, an ex-IPS Officer, and Elamaran, an IAS officer.
Aalavandhar's move to disturb peace in the state and make situation against the CM is opposed by Muthazhagu, an honest youth wing leader of the same ruling party. The film follows their struggle as they try to outmaneuver each other.
The movie also features a plot point where Aalavandhar allocates land space in a village for a cool drink company, which leads to opposition from the villagers. Nam Naadu is a remake of the 2006 Malayalam film Lion.
