Naanal is a 1965 Indian Tamil-language crime comedy film directed by K. Balachander and starring R. Muthuraman, Major Sundarrajan, Srikanth, Sowcar Janaki, K. R. Vijaya, and Nagesh.
The film tells the story of four jailbirds who escape from prison to take revenge on a judge who sentenced them. They take over his house, leading to a series of events that build around the judge and his family as they try to escape.
Naanal was written by K. Balachander and inspired by the film The Desperate Hours (1955). It marked the feature film debut of Typist Gopu and was released on December 24, 1965.
