Naan Potta Savaal is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language Western film directed by Puratchidasan.
The movie stars Rajinikanth in the lead role, alongside Reena. M. R. Radha and M. R. R. Vasu also feature in supporting roles.
The film was notably the first to use Rajinikanth's screen credits with the title "Super Star". A notable scene features a fight between Rajinikanth and Kannan inside a palace, which was filmed at Sharada Studios.
The soundtrack includes songs with lyrics penned by Puratchidasan himself. One notable song, "Sugam Sugame", is set to the Shuddha Saveri raga.
Interestingly, the film was simultaneously produced in Telugu as "Idhe Naa Savaal" (translating as "This is my challenge"), though with a slightly different cast. Despite its release, the movie did not achieve significant success at the box office.
