Murugan Adimai is a 1977 Indian Tamil-language devotional film directed by R. Thyagarajan and released on March 25, 1977.
The story revolves around Valliyammal, the daughter of a wealthy man who serves as a devotee and slave to Murugan. She encounters Sivakasi Pillai, another slave of Murugan but one who steals for the benefit of other devotees. Against her father's wishes, Valliyammal marries this thief.
After marriage, they live a poor life. Sivakasi Pillai reforms and takes up work delivering cash entrusted to him by his boss. However, he gives the money not for personal gain, but to fund Murugan temple renovations and save its priest from suicide after failing in the renovation attempt.
The film stars R. Muthuraman, K. R. Vijaya, Nagesh, Major Sundarrajan, and Thengai Srinivasan.
