Synopsis
Mercury Pookkal is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by S. S. Stanley.
The film stars Srikanth and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles, with Karthik being from a middle-class family who is an outstanding student with high ambitions, working part-time in a courier company to support himself. Anbu Selvi, played by Meera Jasmine, is from a rural landlord's family and is doing her B.Com in Trichy.
Due to pressure from their respective families, Karthik and Anbu Selvi get married. However, they eventually fall in love with each other. A new challenge awaits their relationship as they try to resist the marriage but are compelled to agree in the end.
The film was released on 12 March 2006.
