Synopsis
Mazhalai Pattalam is a 1980 Indian children's film directed by Lakshmi and simultaneously filmed in Kannada. The film stars Vishnuvardhan as Shivaraman alias Gowri Manohari, alongside Sumithra as Uma.
The plot follows a love story between the hero, who manages his six children, and the heroine, who takes care of her now-orphaned sister's five children. The central conflict arises from their inability to marry due to constant disputes among the children. However, they are forced to unite when facing common challenges.
The film is based on the 1968 film Yours, Mine and Ours. It was released on 9 May 1980, with a simultaneous release in Kannada as Makkala Sainya on 21 July that year. The film was remade in Telugu as Ramadandu.
The cast includes Vishnuvardhan as Shivaraman alias Gowri Manohari, Sumithra as Uma, and Poornam Viswanathan as Shivaraman's boss. Other notable actors include Baby Poorani and Baby Indira.
