Manasellam

Manasellam is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Santhosh in his debut.

The film stars Srikanth and Trisha, with Cochin Haneefa playing a major supporting role. It was produced by V. Ravichandran.

The movie follows Bala, whose bag and certificates are stolen on his way to Chennai. He finds accommodation with a petty shop owner Sundaram and the bachelors in his house. Malar lives opposite the house, and the bachelors plan to frame Bala so that her brothers beat him up.

Three strangers claim to be Bala's true friends from Hyderabad and save him after he is beaten up. The film tells the story of Bala's identity through a flashback.

Manasellam was released on 20 March 2003 and failed at the box office.
