Synopsis
Malarinum Melliya is a 2008 Tamil language romantic drama film directed by P. S. Selvaraj.
The film stars Vignesh and Varshini, with Sivachakravarthi, Periyar Dasan, P. S. Selvaraj, Dhadha Muthukumar, Muthukaalai, and Nellai Siva playing supporting roles.
Produced by Sugumari Rajamanokaran, the film was released on 9 May 2008.
The story revolves around a school teacher who arrives in a village to take up a vacant teaching post. The villagers gather around him and share the life story of Elango, the village leader, played by Vignesh. The film explores Elango's past, including his love for Sandhya, daughter of the local temple priest.
The film ends with an elderly Elango reunited with his long-lost love, Sandhya, who has remained faithful to him throughout her life.
