Magudam is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language film directed and written by Pratap Pothen.
The film stars Sathyaraj, Bhanupriya, and Gautami in lead roles.
The plot follows Muthuvelu, who was raised by his grandmother forbidding him to speak with girls. He encounters Thilakavathi, initially mistaking her for a ghost due to her white dress, but later understanding she is human.
Thilakavathi reveals she was a medical student who committed suicide after being pressured by her chief to report the death of a woman as a suicide case. She had conclusively determined it was murder by the woman's husband, Thillainathan.
Following this discovery, Thillainathan ruined her reputation and killed her mother, attempting also to kill her. Thilakavathi decides not to die at their hands.
The film was released on 24 July 1992.
