Maayi is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Surya Prakash and starring Sarathkumar and Meena.
The film tells the story of Maayi, a well-respected do-gooder in a village who considers women as his sisters. He brings his half-sister Lakshmi to live with him after his father's death due to his disapproval of his father's second wife.
A local MLA, Sundarapandiyan, seeks Maayi's support during the upcoming election, but he refuses. The film features a supporting cast including Vadivelu, Vijayakumar, Sabitha Anand, Suvalakshmi, Rajan P. Dev, and Anand.
The film was a commercial success and spawned remakes in Telugu as Simharasi (2001) and Kannada as Narasimha (2012).
