
Maaran is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language vigilante film directed by A. Jawahar and starring Sathyaraj, Seetha, and Raghuvannan.
The film follows Maaran, a clerk in the district collector's office who is a devoted husband and father. His life takes a dramatic turn when his son Sudhandhiram faces bullying at medical college, led by the sadistic Shivadas.
Sudhandhiram eventually stands up to Shivadas, defeating him in college elections, but ultimately pays the price for his actions with his own life. The film explores themes of patriotism and justice.
