Maanagara Kaaval

Maanagara Kaaval is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language political action thriller film directed by M. Thiyagarajan.

The film stars Vijayakanth and Suma, and it is the 150th film of AVM Productions.

The movie follows the story of Ashok Metha, a senior politician who plots to eliminate the newly appointed Prime Minister Rupavathy (played by Lakshmi). Meanwhile, an honest IPS officer named Subhash (Vijayakanth) becomes embroiled in the plot after witnessing a murder and falling in love with Vidya.

As the story unfolds, Subhash manages to impress Rupavathi by arresting a rival politician, Vannai Varathan, who vows revenge. The film explores themes of politics, loyalty, and love.
