Synopsis
Kumara Vijayam is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by A. Jagannathan and starring Kamal Haasan, Jayachitra, and M. G. Soman.
The movie was adapted from the stage play 'Perumal Satchi' by Komal Swaminathan, which itself had been previously filmed as 'Paalazhi Madhanam' in 1975 by the same production company and crew.
G. Devarajan composed the soundtrack for Kumara Vijayam, with lyrics penned by Kannadasan, Pulamaipithan, and Poovai Senguttavan.
Released on 30 July 1976, the film was praised by Kanthan of Kalki as more than just a comedy farce, highlighting the story's contribution to its special character.
