Ko

Ko is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language political action thriller film directed by K. V. Anand and written by him and Subha.

The film stars Jiiva, Ajmal Ameer, Karthika Nair, and Piaa Bajpai, with Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, and Bose Venkat in supporting roles.

Based on the director's early experiences as a freelance photojournalist, the script follows a photojournalist who uncovers a conspiracy involving Naxalites while covering the Tamil Nadu State Election.

The film features music composed by Harris Jayaraj, cinematography handled by Richard M. Nathan, and editing done by Anthony.

Production began in early 2010 and filming took place in Chennai, as well as other parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, with song sequences shot in China and Norway.

The film was released on April 22, 2011, and became a commercial success, winning two Filmfare Awards.
