Kireedam is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by A. L. Vijay in his directorial debut. The film is the Tamil remake of the 1989 Malayalam film of the same name.
The movie stars Ajith Kumar in the main lead role alongside Trisha and Rajkiran, while Vivek, Saranya, Ajay, and Santhanam appear in supporting roles. G. V. Prakash Kumar composed the score and soundtrack for the film, with Tirru serving as cinematographer.
The story follows the life of Rajarajan, a police constable living in Trichy with his loving family. He aspires for his elder son, Sakthivel "Sakthi," to become a police sub-inspector. The film received positive reviews and became a commercial success at the box office.
Kireedam was released on 20 July 2007 and was dubbed into Telugu as Poorna Market.
