Kazhugu

Kazhugu is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by S. P. Muthuraman.

The movie stars Rajinikanth, Rati Agnihotri, and Sumalatha in the lead roles.

Plot follows Satyamoorthy, a wealthy diamond businessman who lives with his younger brother Raja (Rajinikanth) and their two daughters. The story involves Satyamoorthy inviting an impostor priest to perform rituals at his house in an attempt to drive away perceived evil.

The film features a high-tech bus as a key element, which is attacked by bad sadhus and later used to rescue the kidnapped daughter.

Kazhugu is an adaptation of the 1975 American film Race with the Devil and became a cult film among Rajinikanth fans in the 1980s, despite receiving mixed reviews upon its release.
