Synopsis
Kathai is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Abhishek and produced by Rajan Radhakrishnan.
The film stars Shaan Kumar and Nivedhitha in lead roles, along with Abhinay, Deepa Venkat, Nalini, and Ganja Karuppu in supporting roles.
The movie follows the story of Narain (Shaan), an acclaimed writer who wins the Booker prize for one of his works. A flashback reveals secrets in his life, particularly his relationship with his wife Kavya (Nivedhitha).
The film explores their friendship and love story, from meeting at a musical theatre performance to their eventual union.
The music was composed by Paul Jacob, while the cinematography was handled by Abushah and editing by R. R. Eashwar.
The film was released on 29 January 2010.
