Kanniyin Kathali is a 1949 Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by K. Ramnoth.
The film stars Madhuri Devi, Anjali Devi, and S. A. Natarajan in the lead roles, with Madhuri Devi playing the role of Princess Chandrika, who disguises herself as a young man named Kalaimani to enter service.
Chandrika falls in love with Prince Vasanthakumar (played by S.A. Natarajan), whom she believes died in the shipwreck that separated her from her twin brother Prince Adithan. Meanwhile, Megala Devi becomes infatuated with Chandrika upon meeting her disguised identity, mistaking the young man for a woman.
The film is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play Twelfth Night and was released on August 6, 1949.
