Jayam is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language horror film directed and produced by Ravi-Raja, marking their directorial debut.
The film stars Sangita, Mansoor Ali Khan, Ishaq Hussaini, and Vichithra, with Bhavana, Ragul, Rocky, Karikalan, Shanmugasundaram, and Vadivukkarasi playing supporting roles.
Released on 15 October 1999, the movie follows the story of professor Saamy, a mad scientist who commits multiple terrorist attacks in Tamil Nadu. The police inspector Rathnam informs each stage of the investigation to Saamy, allowing him to escape. Commissioner Sankar calls in Anand and Vijay to find and arrest Saamy, but he was previously released from jail due to his political influence.
After a series of events, Saamy kills Rathnam in his lab for an experiment, but the experiment goes horribly wrong and Saamy dies on the spot.
