Gopura Vasalile is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language romantic black comedy film directed by Priyadarshan.
The film stars Karthik and Bhanupriya, with Nassar, Junior Balaiah, and Charle in supporting roles.
Manohar (Karthik), a schoolteacher, leads a dull life after the death of his lover Kasthuri. His friends give him a reason to live and love once again.
The film relies on various subplots from the Malayalam film Pavam Pavam Rajakumaran (1990) and the Hindi film Chashme Buddoor (1981).
Gopura Vasalile was released on 22 March 1991 and ran more than 100 days in many theatres, becoming a commercial success at the box office.
