Dum

Dum is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language romantic action comedy film directed by A. Venkatesh.

The film stars Silambarasan and Rakshita, with Ashish Vidyarthi and S. S. Rajendran playing pivotal roles.

The movie follows Satya, the son of a police constable, who gets into fights and ends up in jail. He meets Suchitra, the daughter of a police commissioner, after being beaten up by college students. The two fall in love, leading to several problems that Satya bravely faces. In the end, all goes well for Satya, including his selection for IPS.

The film was initially set to be titled Idiot before its release as Dum.
