Synopsis
Dindigul Sarathy is a 2008 Indian Tamil language comedy drama film directed by Siva Sanmukam.
The film stars Karunas, Karthika, and Saranya Ponvannan, with supporting roles played by Nassar, M. S. Bhaskar, Livingston, and Chitti Babu.
The story revolves around an insecure teetotaler named Sarathy Raman, who feels bad due to his dark skin, which is often the butt of many jokes. He marries Vasanthi, a woman fairer than him, despite this difference.
Sarathy begins to suspect Vasanthi for nothing on many occasions after their marriage and even beats his own brother who came from Mumbai.
The film was released on 19 December 2008 and is a remake of the Malayalam film Vadakkunokkiyantram (1989).
