Dhaya

Dhaya is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Senthil Kumar and produced by Prakash Raj.

The film stars Prakash Raj, Meena, Lakshmi, and Raghuvaran, with Prakash Raj receiving the National Film Award—Special Jury Award for Best Actor for his performance in the movie.

Set in Chennai, Dhaya follows the titular character, a feared and notorious rowdy who has amassed significant political influence, allowing him to engage in criminal activities with impunity. A woman named Thulasi attempts to reform him, but her efforts are unsuccessful due to Dhaya's deep entrenchment in his criminal world.
