Cinema Paithiyam is a 1975 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Muktha Srinivasan and starring Jaishankar and Jayachitra.
The story revolves around Jaya, an avid movie fan who worships the popular actor Jaishankar, seeing his on-screen personas as embodying her ideal man. Her refusal to marry Natarajan, arranged by family members, creates conflict. To broaden her perspective beyond cinema, her uncle takes her on a trip to witness the actual lives of film stars.
The soundtrack features music composed by Shankar–Ganesh and lyrics penned by Kannadasan.
Cinema Paithiyam was released on 31 January 1975 and became a commercial success.
