Synopsis
Bhavani IPS is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language crime action film directed by G. Kicha and starring Sneha as the police officer Bhavani.
The film follows Bhavani, an honest police officer in Hyderabad, who is posted as Assistant Commissioner of Police in Tirunelveli upon request from the Tamil Nadu government.
Bhavani's mission is to put an end to the unlawful activities of Sivalingam (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a baddie and aspiring politician. Meanwhile, Surya (Sampath Raj) voices against Sivalingam, while Bhavani's sister Deepa (Yasmin Khan) faces challenges from Sivalingam's son Ranjith (Aryan).
The film features a cast that includes Vivek, Sampath Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Aryan, and Yasmin Khan.
Bhavani IPS is a remake of the Telugu film Karthavyam (1990) and was released in Tamil on 11 March 2011.
