Bharathi

Bharathi is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language biographical film based on the life of Subramania Bharati.

The film stars Sayaji Shinde as Subramania Bharathi, with supporting performances by Devayani and Nizhalgal Ravi. Directed by Gnana Rajasekaran, it won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil for 2000.

The movie is a biographical account of Bharati's life, with Pushpak Ramesh playing the young Subramania Bharathi. Other notable cast members include Ramesh Kumar, T. P. Gajendran, and Ganesh Babu as Bharathi's son-in-law.

It is based on a true story of Tamil poet Subramania Bharati, who struggled hard for the freedom of India.
