Bairavi is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language film directed by M. Bhaskar and produced by Kalaignanam. The story was written by Kalaignanam himself.
The plot revolves around Mookaiyah, who becomes a servant to a local landlord named Rajalingam after being separated from his sister Bairavi in an accident. Years later, Mookaiyah is forced by Rajalingam to abduct a young girl from a neighboring village. However, he soon discovers that the girl he intended to protect is actually his long-lost sister Bairavi.
The film stars Rajinikanth and Sripriya in lead roles, with Geetha introduced as the titular character Bairavi. Other significant actors include Sudheer, Manorama, and Suruli Rajan.
Bairavi was released on June 8, 1978.
