Athaiya Mamiya is a 1974 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Chithralaya Gopu.
The film stars Jaishankar and Ushanandini, with music composed by M. S. Viswanathan.
Shankar returns from abroad after completing his higher studies, only to be persuaded into marrying one of their relatives' daughters. However, he reveals that he has already met the love of his life, Usha, and married her. Angered by this, his father throws him out of his house, prompting Usha to join Shankar in starting a new life.
The film was produced by Amudha Ganesan, who approached Chithralaya Gopu to make the movie based on her script. The production was funded by money earned from gambling.
