Synopsis
Annai is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Manobala and starring Bhanupriya, Nassar, and Baby Sadhika.
The film follows the story of Kanagamahalakshmi, a wealthy widow who takes in an orphan child, Anjali, for a month every year. However, when Anjali returns for her third year, she expresses her distaste at the household's deficiencies, prompting Kanagamahalakshmi to make changes.
The film features an ensemble cast including Ramesh Khanna, Manobala, and Mayilsamy, with music composed by Dhina. It was shot on a budget of 33 lakh rupees within 14 days and released on February 11, 2000.
