Synopsis
Akilan (2012) is an Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Balaji Mohan in his feature debut.
The film stars Siddharth and Amala Paul as Arun and Parvathy, who fall in love during their college days.
Shot within 35 working days in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore, the movie features music composed by Thaman S, cinematography handled by Nirav Shah, and editing done by T. S. Suresh.
The film was released worldwide on February 17, 2012, during the Valentine's Day week, and received critical and commercial success.
A Telugu version, titled Love Failure, was also partially reshot due to Siddharth's popularity in Telugu cinema.
