Aavani Thingal is a 2006 Indian Tamil language romantic drama film directed by Harikrishna.
The film stars Subramanian Gopalakrishnan as Rasappa, an orphan who works as a servant in the house of local bigwig Periyavar. Ponnusamy, played by Livingston, is a marriage broker who helps Rasappa find a bride. Gayathri, played by Mathisha, is Ponnusamy's daughter and the object of Rasappa's affections.
Deepika, played by Tejini, is Periyavar's modern city-dwelling granddaughter who clashes with Rasappa over their differences. As the story unfolds, Rasappa becomes wealthy through his work as a bomb-setter but suffers an accident that puts his marriage plans in jeopardy.
The film follows Rasappa's journey as he navigates love, loss, and redemption, ultimately finding happiness with Gayathri. Aavani Thingal was released on 17 November 2006.
