Synopsis
Ivan is a 2002 Indian Tamil language film directed, written, and produced by Parthibhan.
The film stars Parthiban along with Soundarya and Meena, and tells the story of Jeevan (Parthiban), a tempo driver and socially conscious middle-aged man who wants to clean up society.
Jeevan's motivation is his late father, who was murdered for trying to be a crusader against evil and corruption. He motivates the public to fight for their rights and lives in a small place with four friends.
He also forms a relationship with Carnatic singer Dheetchanya (Soundarya) and Telugu woman Meena Kumari (Meena), who eventually wins him over through a lie about having cancer. However, she dies during the process.
The film features 18 antagonists, each of whom gets a chance to support Jeevan's stand and speak on the circumstances that led them to commit crimes. Jeevan delivers a long lecture, transforming them into good citizens.
