Synopsis
Chittukuruvi, released on 9 June 1978, is an Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Devaraj–Mohan and produced under Vishnupriya Creations. The film stars Sivakumar in a lead role alongside Sumithra and Meera.
The movie features music composed by Ilaiyaraaja with lyrics penned by Vaali for several popular songs, including "En Kanmani", "Unna Nambi", and "Adada Maamara".
Principal photography took place in and around villages near Mysore, such as Talakadu and Malangi. The film was launched on 17 November 1977 with Devaraj–Mohan's mentor director P. Madhavan and cinematographer P. N. Sundaram starting the shoot.
Sumithra portrays Chandralekha, while voice artist Hemamalini provided the dubbing for the character Meena. The film was completed within 20 days of shooting.
