Synopsis
Yaanai is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Hari and produced by Vedikkaranpatti S. Sakthivel under the banner of Drumsticks Productions.
The film stars Arun Vijay, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Ramachandra Raju, Samuthirakani, Rajesh, Radhika Sarathkumar, Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran, Ammu Abhirami, Yogi Babu and Pugazh in key roles.
G.V. Prakash Kumar composed the soundtrack and background score, while Gopinath and Anthony handled the cinematography and editing respectively.
The movie follows the life of PRV, an influential person in the Ramanathapuram district, who lives with his two wives and children, leading a life filled with complexities and challenges. A series of incidents and conflicts ensue between PRV's family and another family who believes that PRV's family is responsible for the death of their brother.
The film explores the dynamics of these relationships, the ensuing drama, and the quest for truth and justice. Released on 1 July 2022 to positive reviews from critics, Yaanai became a commercial success at the box office.
