Synopsis
Yaan is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Ravi K. Chandran and starring Jiiva and Thulasi Nair.
The film's soundtrack and score were composed by Harris Jayaraj, while editing and art direction were done by A. Sreekar Prasad and Sabu Cyril, respectively. Resul Pookutty was in charge of the sound mixing and Brinda was in charge of the choreography.
The movie follows Chandru, an MBA graduate who lives a carefree life with his friends in Mumbai, and Srila, a young driving instructor living with her father, a retired army officer. They meet during a shootout between cops and terrorists, where Chandru saves Srila's life. The blossoming romance hits roadblocks when Srila's father rejects Chandru due to his lack of job.
Chandru eventually lands a job in the Middle East but gets caught up in a conspiracy. The film is reported to be based on the 1978 film Midnight Express and stars Jiiva as Chandrasekhar, a happy-go-lucky, jobless youth, and Thulasi Nair as Sreela, a young driving instructor.
