Synopsis
Veruli is an Indian Tamil-language action thriller film released in 2017.
The film was produced by P. Amudhavanan and written and directed by him under its original title. The principal actors portraying key characters include Abhishek Vinod, Syed Subahan, Ravi Prakash, and Archana Singh.
The musical score for the film was crafted by V. M. Dinesh Raja and R. S. Raj Prathap, while Siva Prabhu handled the cinematography.
The story is titled "Veruli", which translates to "Scarecrow". The director leverages this title by presenting a sequence of incidents that cause Ashwin (played by Abhishek Vinod) confusion regarding their reality.
Principal photography commenced on 8 April 2016 in Chennai, and the film was shot in several locations including Chennai, Chittoor, Coimbatore, and Kerala. The film had a theatrical release across Tamil Nadu on 16 June 2017.
The plotline revolved around potholes in India which have become death traps. Singer Syed Subhahan made his debut as an actor with this film.
