Synopsis
Sevappi is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by M S Raaja and produced by Rajeshwar Kalisamy and Prasanna Balachandran under Erumugal Network.
The film tells the story of a 5-year-old boy living in a remote village in Tamil Nadu who forms an unusual bond with a chicken, pretending it is his mother. This relationship is perceived as a family dispute by the villagers, which escalates into a caste issue, causing division within the town.
The lead roles are played by Rishikanth and Poornima Ravi, with supporting performances from Shravan Athvethan, Dilli, Sebastin Antony, Rajamani, Thanesh Venkat, Thirunavukkarasu, and Mimmō. The film's music is composed by A. Praveen Kumar, and it features cinematography by Manoharan M and editing by Vachu Lakshmin.
The film premiered on streaming service Aha Tamil on 12 January 2024.
