Seeru

Seeru (Roar) is an action drama film released in 2020, directed by Rathina Shiva and starring Jiiva, Riya Suman, Navdeep, Varun, and Gayathri Krishnaa.

The film follows Manimaran, a local news anchor from Mayiladuthurai who operates his own cable television channel. He becomes embroiled in conflict with the local MLA, leading to complications that ultimately result in him being hired by the MLA's goon, Vysarpadi Malli, to be eliminated.

However, Malli intervenes and saves Manimaran's pregnant sister, leading Manimaran to leave his hometown for Chennai. There, he searches for the mysterious savior but instead finds Ashok Mithran, a high-profile lawyer known for representing controversial politicians.

Manimaran decides to take legal action against Mithran, intending to protect his sister and friends from political adversaries. The film was bankrolled by Ishari K. Ganesh under Vels Film International and features music composed by D. Imman.
