Synopsis
Saagasam is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed by Arun Raj Varma and written and presented by Thiagarajan.
The film stars Prashanth and Amanda Rosario, alongside an ensemble cast including Sonu Sood, Nassar, Thambi Ramaiah, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Abeetha, and M. S. Bhaskar in supporting roles.
The movie is a remake of the 2012 Telugu film Julayi and follows the story of Bittu, a master robber, and local MLA Varatharajan as they plan to rob ₹15 billion from a bank.
Meanwhile, Ravi Narayan seeks easy money through betting on an IPL match. The plot becomes entangled when Ravi reveals the location of a betting ring, leading to police intervention and a chain of events that brings the planned bank heist into conflict with the authorities.
The film features music composed by S. Thaman and was released on 5 February 2016.
