Synopsis
Romeo Juliet is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Lakshman and starring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani.
The film explores themes typical of romantic comedy cinema, as Aishwarya, a flight attendant, falls in love with Karthik, assuming he is rich. However, she discovers that he is only an ordinary gym instructor, leading her to leave him for a wealthy man named Aravind.
Karthik stands by his way and threatens to break Aishwarya's relationship with the millionaire, forcing her to find a suitable girl for him. The film follows the story of what happens when she finds a girl for Karthik.
The title alludes to William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, although the film is not based on it. The movie was released on June 12, 2015, and was remade in Odia as Just Mohabatt in 2017.
