Romeo

Romeo is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film directed by Vinayak Vaithianathan in his directorial debut.

The film stars Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi in lead roles, with Barath Dhanasekar and Ravi Royster composing the soundtrack and background score.

Produced by Meera Vijay Antony, the movie follows Arivazhagan "Arivu", a Malaysian returnee who yearns to experience love before marrying, as he meets Leelavathi "Leela" at her grandfather's funeral. Leela is an aspiring actress forced by her father's disapproval to pretend to work in an MNC in Chennai.

Extensively shot in Malaysia, Bangkok, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Tenkasi, Chennai, and Mahabalipuram, the film was theatrically released on 11 April 2024, coinciding with Ramzan. It received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics.
